For those of you who read my epic review of Manhunt.com, you might have noted that I was going to do a separate assessment of their blog. Rather than half-ass it like a lot of other dating sites do, this one has a surprising amount of juicy content, which is hard to find elsewhere. If by the end of this you agree, do me, Manhunt, and your friends a favor by sharing this.
As far as the layout goes, this blog is super simple but in a sublime way. Every post has several high-quality pictures of hot-ass guys or a short promo video. When it comes to the writing, no matter the topic, all of the blogs are well-written and super easy to read.
All of the links are relevant, and the only one that is not worth going on about is the Live Sex link. It takes you to Manhunt's webcam shows, but I already wrote about it in the first review.
Now that we've gone over this blog's looks, so let's thoroughly analyze the categories of content.
Manhunt Daily describes this section of blogs is as follows…
"No, literally. It's just hot guys in here."
…and that is true. But that seems like an oversimplification to me. They advertise for a lot of porn sites and even single porn and webcam performers. Other guys they write about include athletes and celebrities who have come out, famous guys who have posted nudes to social media, and other pop culture events involving gay guys.
Some of the articles are from other popular sites like Queerty, but I kind of like that. It sure beats taking time to check all of the popular gay blogs.
Arguably, the best series of posts on this blog are the Manhunt Member submissions. They don't involve too much commentary, just a brief description of the free video and the member (or members) who submitted it. If the stud in question is near you, you get a nice look-see at what equipment you are dealing with. If not, you get a free show.
And if you are a Manhunt member and want to be featured, you can be. After you've uploaded a sexy video to the main site, email the blog staff at [email protected], and they'll surely get back to you in no time.
Those are the bulk of the posts in the bareback section, but there are offers on awesome porn sites.
If all of the promotional posts for amateur and professional porn in the other two sections are not enough, the Beef Fuckers posts provide you with even more. These posts highlight the hottest scenes which have been released from premium porn sites such as Titan Men, Hot House, Men.com, and Kristen Bjorn's site. The focus tends to be on muscle studs, but there are posts featuring daddies, twinks, and other "types."
They also link you to the social media profiles of the performers in the scenes, which is fantastic. After all, what professional pornstar does not share footage of their scenes on Twitter…or from their personal love lives?
Another thing about this blog is the fact that it lives up to its name. They have been incredibly consistent when it comes to posting blogs every damn day. While they tend to stay abreast of current events and things that are only important for a week, they have a nice number of informational articles.
So, you might want to consider going through the articles. They are just as well made as the ones being published now, and you might find out something new. The one complaint that I have is that they did not build a search engine to make finding particular topics easier. There are tags added to posts, but they did not create a tag page.
Just about every site which regularly posts content has a free newsletter. It is nice to get free stuff, but if your inbox is already cluttered, it might not be worth getting occasional specials on smut. Well, to stand out from the crowd, Manhunt Daily has a no-charge newsletter that gives you get a FREE porn membership. All you need to do is enter your email.
To round this review off, I was wondering how many advertisements there would be with a little fear and trepidation. For those who read my review of the main site, I was not fond of how many ads are on Manhunt.com. But as it turns out, the blog has almost none. I checked all over, and the only advert you will encounter is a promotional banner for Manhunt's free webcams.
Well, did I successfully make my case? Are you convinced that this blog was worth a separate review? I mean, it is hard to find a dating site that maintains a blog that discusses gay news, comments on pop culture, promote porn and webcam performers, and gives you free porn. If you know of any others, let me know. At any rate, this blog is rather unique as far as I know, which is why I am going to give it four and a half hands. Click over to it, read it, and sign up for the newsletter.
